Fellow Bio:
Cailey McCain grew up in Ventura, California. She made her way to the Sacramento region to attend school at UC Davis, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning. She has a specific interest in environmental justice. Cailey has studied how race, class, gender, and sexuality contribute to how individuals and communities experience the natural environment. She hopes to help make an already interdisciplinary field more intersectional. Her future career goal is to be an attorney who practices environmental law and civil rights law in California. During her off time, Cailey enjoys going to farmer’s markets, cooking, practicing yoga with her two cats, and listening to podcasts. She is excited to work with local governments to support the needs of communities through the CivicSpark program.
