Katie Smet is from Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2015 with bachelor degrees in Political Science and Urban studies with a concentration on urban infrastructure and the environment. Prior to joining CivicSpark, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA where she assisted with partnership building and sustainability projects for a local initiative. Katie looks forward to addressing environmental issues while working alongside local leaders in the sustainability field and developing a broader understanding of the ways in which communities can adapt to climate change.
