Annie grew up in Oakland, CA, and recently graduated from University of California, Davis with a degree in Environmental Science and Management, specializing in Natural Resource Management, and with a minor in Professional Writing. Prior to joining CivicSpark, Annie was an environmental outreach writing intern with Cool Davis, and wrote articles and outreach materials about the impacts of climate change, with a focus on Davis/Sacramento area impacts. This summer, Annie interned with the Natural Resources Defense Council in Bozeman, MT, researching scientific and policy information relevant to NRDC’s large carnivore conservation efforts. Annie is joining CivicSpark because she is passionate about addressing the climate change impacts that California is already experiencing, and she is excited to serve with the Delta Stewardship Council to help with the Delta Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan. Through her fellowship, Annie hopes to broaden her knowledge about climate change mitigation and adaptation in the Delta region and to gain experience in state and local government work.
