Emily was born and raised in Carmichael, CA, and recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA of Urban Studies and Planning and an MN of Geography and Environment. She has previously worked with city governments and transit agencies on various aspects of planning. Emily has also studied abroad in Sweden, where she learned about the sustainable municipal practices in the town of Växjö. Throughout the fellowship with CivicSpark, Emily is looking forward to learning more about sustainable planning and about working in a professional planning setting.
