Born and raised in New York, it wasn’t until a road trip through California that I knew I had to move to the place that values environmentalism, sustainability, and resiliency the most. I decided to trust my gut and transfer to Sonoma State University to pursue a dual degree in both Environmental Studies and Geography. I am excited to be a CivicSpark fellow and help serve the City of Beverly Hills on climate action and adaptation, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement. I hope to learn how sustainability efforts are implemented in the public sector and the various stakeholders who are involved in the process!
