I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. This past Spring I graduated from UC Davis with a double-major in Sociology and Chicanx Studies. My passion to come back to my community to mobilize social equity grew from learning about social and environmental injustices in school and from observing these inequalities take place in my own community. That is why I am excited to join CivicSpark and to work with Veggielution in their efforts in implementing a community compost system to reduce food waste.
