Mckenna is a recent graduate of the Environmental Science and Policy program at the University of California, Irvine. She is inspired to do work at the nexus of environmental sustainability and social equity, and has previously worked in think tanks devoted to environmental peacebuilding, change, and security. As a lifelong resident of Southern California, she is excited for the opportunity to serve her home community and to be a part of the collective effort to mitigate environmental challenges and address long-standing injustices.
