Region: Los Angeles

Project(s): Los Angeles County Public Works – Environmental Programs Email: tjuleen@caclimateactioncorps.org Fellow Bio:

To Taylor, promoting a robust and equitable food system—on scales small and large—is key in fostering community and mitigating some of the most damaging effects of a rapidly changing climate. She learned of the ever-complex issue of food insecurity in Los Angeles during her time at the University of Southern California, where she graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and minors in Spanish and International Relations. She has employed a people-centric approach to Food Justice ever since, focusing on urban farming, soil health, and food waste redistribution. She looks forward to working with LA County Public Works in food waste recovery for the upcoming service year.
