Patrick served in the 2017-18 CivicSpark cohort. He was placed at the City of Alameda in the SF Bay Area to help the community develop its first Climate Action and Resiliency Plan. He stayed on at the city for another 2.5 years after his service year ended. He is now studying environmental science and management at the Bren School of UC Santa Barbara where he is focusing on regenerative agriculture and nature-based carbon offsets. In his free time he likes foraging for wild greens, making fermented foods, and leading teen backpacking trips in the summers.
