Fellow Bio
Before university, Daniel Hanson took a gap-year from education, during which he travelled and volunteered in Latin America, realizing his passion for protecting the environment, then interned for the Special Olympics – Chicago. Daniel graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 2022 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Geography, then spent 11 months serving with the City of Boulder’s Climate Initiatives department through an AmeriCorps, CivicSpark fellowship during 2022 and 2023. Daniel is excited to be returning for another CivicSpark fellowship during 2023 and 2024 and to continue working with and building capacity for the City of Boulder’s Nature-based Climate Solutions team and the Cool Boulder campaign!
