Fellow Bio
Risa is a recent graduate from the University of Washington with a B.A in Environmental Studies. She has continually worked in Green Infrastructure and Municipal Management, while also working with high school students to create the Kent Meridian Rain Gardens. While a student at UW, Risa has co-founded a GI start-up named ReuMo. She is passionate about equitable access in to sustainability in urban spaces to adapt and mitigate climate impacts with a focus on underserved communities and spaces. Currently, Risa is excited to work with the city of Bellevue to support the Energy Smart Eastside program in promoting equitable access to heat pumps to lower the amount of GHGs entering the atmosphere.
