Tess Vaccaro is a recent graduate from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Sociology. She finds joy in working with, learning from, and supporting vulnerable/marginalized populations and giving them the opportunities and resources to lead and communicate their needs. With respect to her personal life, she loves to foster dogs and cats (from bottled-fed neonates to the elderly) at her local animal shelter! During this upcoming CivicSpark service year, Tess will be working for Yolo County, focusing on advancing equity and engagement surrounding their climate action and adaptation plan. She is excited to start her professional career, explore/continue to learn, and network with cohort peers.
